Southern Africa Nazarene University is a new university that was launched in 2010 by bringing together three colleges, the Nazarene College of Nursing, Nazarene Teacher Training and the Nazarene College of Theology. The University is the result of the dream of the Swaziland Church of the Nazarene as it seeks to extend its long history of service in the Kingdom of Swaziland.
The dream became reality through the efforts of all stakeholders: the National Board of the Church of the Nazarene in Swaziland, the Government of Swaziland, the Africa Region and International Board of Education in the Church of the Nazarene. While the University is new, the legacy colleges have served the people of Swaziland for almost 100 years, delivering high quality education. Thousands of graduates serve in Swaziland and, indeed, around the world. Employers’ rating of SANU graduates is positive to date; and graduates of SANU are amongst the most preferred in the job market. Even as a new university, its impact is being felt in Swaziland and around the world.
