Requirements for getting admission in United States International University- Africa
All the students who want to get enrolled in the courses offered by the United States International University-Africa must satisfy the criteria and the procedures that are required to get the admission. The applicants should submit all the acceptable certified documents which show that they have satisfactorily completed all the necessary requirements for the admission.
Requirements for getting admission in undergraduates program in USIU- Africa
Applicants who want to enroll themselves into the undergraduate’s courses offered by the university are selected through screening that they will have to undergo. The selective screening is based on the academic achievement at the secondary level. The credential that the applicant should possess is a minimum requirement is C plus in KCSE. Requirement for getting admission in the graduate courses in USIU- Africa
Applicants who want admission in any of the graduate courses offered by United States International University- Africa must possess the minimum requirement – Baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution with a CGPA of 2.5 or better. Students with work experience are preferable.
Requirements for getting admission in the doctoral program offered by USIU-Africa

Requirements for the international applicants to get admission in USIU- Africa
The same screening procedure will be done in regard to the admission of the international applicants but the candidate must demonstrate their English Proficiency. Students who do not speak English as their first language are required to show proficiency in English before beginning an academic program. The students who are U.S. citizens/permanent residents have to submit their SAT or ACT marks for evaluation. To continue with the application procedures the following checklist should be verified and checked before being submitted to the Admission Office for further processing. The following documents must be present in the checklist.
For Undergraduate applicants:
- Application Fee which is non refundable (KShs. 3,000 or USD $50) – Payments in Cash is not accepted (check the banking options)
- Complete and also signed application form
- Originals of all the certificates and also a copy of all officials documents, Certificate or Diplomas (Originals copy, where not be needed will be return back to candidate)
- Copy of Certificate of high school leaving.
- Candidate recent photograph, 1 passport size (write the name on the reverse side of the photograph).
- Copy of Birth Certificate or Identity Card (National).
For Graduate applicants:
- Application Fee which is non refundable (KShs. 3,000 or USD $50) – payments in cash, not accepted (see the banking options).
- Signed and Complete application form.
- Official degree documentation for each professional school or college previously attended (Originals copy, where not be needed will be return back to candidate).
- Copy of Birth Certificate or Identity Card (National).
- Originals as well as copy of the entire supportive academic documents of the candidates should be provided.
- A two-page essay addressing these two topics:
1. Which experiences motivate you to choose your objectives in the field of professionalism?
2. State two factors you would like to consider which can evaluate your application form?
- Resume/curriculum vitae (1 copy).
- Two recommendation letters (Forms are provided).
- One passport size photograph (recent) of the candidate (Write name on the reverse side of the photograph).
For Doctoral Applicants:

- Signed and complete application form (check the deadline in the official site).
- Original or official documentation of all the degree certificates a candidate have, accompanying with official documentation for both the Bachelor’s degrees and Masters degrees attained from the college or professional school attended previously. (All originals, where necessary for the candidate, will be returned to candidate).
- Copy of the Birth Certificate and National Identity Card.
- Originals and a copy of all genuine and supportive academic certificates.
- An essay of thousand words outlining the achievement of yours, applying reasons in the program of post-graduate and your expectations from the program.
- Resume /curriculum vitae.
- Recommendation letters, three (Forms provided in the official site).
- Candidate recent photograph, 1 passport size (Write the name on the reverse side of the photograph).
For international Applicants:
- An official documentation of academic records (where needed).
- Official test score card of Cambridge Certificate on English proficiency or English (TOEFL) (required for applicants whose language of instruction is not English).
- Duly filled Application Form of Pupil’s Pass.
- A current copy of financial guarantee letter (from your financial sponsors).
- Processing fee of pupil pass (KShs. 5,000) – cash payments is not accepted (see the banking options here)
- Candidate recent photograph, 2 passport size (Write the name on the photograph’s reverse side).
- One copy of the National Passport of the applicants.
