2023 KCSE Results: Find Out the Best Performers

See which Students and Schools shine in the 2023 KCSE Results with Kenya’s Education Management Information System (KEMIS) portal unveiled by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu is poised to announce the results of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) today. The results are set to be revealed at Moi Girls in Eldoret on Monday, January 8, 2024, although the Ministry of Education has not officially confirmed this location.

In December, Machogu had indicated that the results for the 903,260 candidates who completed their exams in 2023 would be announced in the second week of January 2024. This year, in a departure from previous practices, the 2023 KCSE results will be accessible through the newly introduced Kenya Education Management Information System (KEMIS) portal.

Candidates and their parents are required to visit this portal and input the students’ names and index numbers to view the results. This year’s KCSE results are especially noteworthy as they coincide with the launch of a new grading system intended to increase the number of students qualifying for university admission.

Should the results be released at Moi Girls on Monday, it would be a historic first for the ministry, moving away from the traditional venue of Mtihani House in Nairobi.

The announcement will also include the list of the top fifty secondary schools nationally based on the KCSE 2022 mean scores, with Nyambaria High School leading the pack with a mean score of 10.89, followed by schools such as Cardinal Otunga High School, Asumbi Girls High School, Mangu High School, and St Antony’s Boys High School among others.
